LoloBuy size guide: compare measurements before choosing a label

Use the seller’s chart, consistent measurement methods and targeted warehouse photos to make a clearer sizing decision.

At a glance

A familiar size label is a starting point. The useful comparison is between the seller’s measurements, your reference measurements and the fit you want.

  3. Choose the dimensions that matter

  5. Use QC to answer a specific question
  6. Decide while options remain open

Start with the seller’s chart

LoloBuy’s official size reference says that sizing standards can vary between stores and treats its conversion information as a reference. A label such as medium or a familiar shoe size does not establish how every seller’s product will fit. Read the chart for the exact listing and option.

Check whether the numbers describe a body, a finished garment or a recommended wearer. Those are different measurements. If the chart does not make this clear, ask before ordering instead of choosing a larger or smaller size by habit.

Measure a reliable reference

For clothing, compare against a garment you own that fits in the way you want. Place it flat and use the same points as the seller’s diagram. Note the units and whether a width is measured across one side or around the body. Keep the measurements with a quick photo of the method.

For body measurements, follow the relevant guide and keep the tape level rather than tightening it to force a preferred size. A fitted shirt, a relaxed hoodie and a structured jacket need different allowances. The desired silhouette is part of the decision, not a defect in the chart.

Choose the dimensions that matter

For a top, chest width, body length, shoulder and sleeve can answer different fit questions. For trousers, check waist, rise, inseam and overall length. A single waist number does not explain how a trouser leg will sit, and a chest measurement alone does not establish sleeve length.

For illustration, suppose your reference top measures 56 centimetres across the chest and 70 centimetres in length. A candidate measuring 56 and 64 may have similar width but a noticeably shorter body. This is an example of comparison method, not a recommendation for a particular size or product.

  • Confirm measurement units
  • Match body measurements to body charts
  • Match flat garment measurements to garment charts
  • Compare more than one fit-critical dimension
  • Record the intended relaxed or fitted silhouette

Check footwear separately

The official size guide recommends using the larger foot when the two differ and notes that length labels do not fully describe width. Read the seller’s footwear chart and check the system used on the selected option. Do not assume that an EU, US or UK number transfers perfectly between every listing.

Measure as the chart instructs and consider socks, width and the intended use. A visible shoe label in a warehouse photo can help confirm what was sent, but it cannot establish how the shoe feels on your foot. Avoid treating an insole photo as a universal conversion table.

Use QC to answer a specific question

Before shipping, compare the visible size tag with the order. If an important garment dimension remains uncertain, request that measurement using clear start and end points. For example, ask for flat chest width measured seam to seam rather than simply “check the size.”

LoloBuy’s inspection policy has limits and does not promise a full fit assessment. Check whether the measurement or additional photo is available for your item and whether there is a charge. A standard photo set should not be described as a personalised sizing consultation.

Decide while options remain open

If the received label differs from the selected option, document the mismatch using both the order and the photo. If the label matches but the measurement is unsuitable, check the seller’s return conditions and current order process promptly. These are different situations and should be described accurately.

Measurements reduce uncertainty; they do not remove differences in cut, stretch, fabric feel or personal preference. Keep the chart and your comparison notes so that a successful fit can inform a future purchase. Recheck the actual listing when ordering again, because another seller or version may use different measurements.

Practical checklist

  • Use the exact listing’s chart.
  • Keep units and measurement methods consistent.
  • Compare several fit-critical dimensions.
  • Check the received size label and requested measurement.
  • Resolve fit questions before international dispatch.
